Soft Launch: Saturday, May 10th | 4PM–9PM
We’re rolling closer to opening day—and we’re kicking things off with a soft launch “Saturday Skate” session Saturday, May 10th from 4PM to 9PM at the Monterey County Fairgrounds! Tickets are available on our website right now, and we’re offering discounted admission of $10 for the entire session. Reserve your spot today, since ticket sales are limited.

Our rental skates are almost ready, but unfortunately won’t arrive in time for this event. That said, many of our followers are experienced skaters, and we’re hoping to see a crowd of long-time skaters who’ve missed the energy of a real roller rink. This is your chance to help us break in the floor and give the rink its first test drive.
7PM: Family Skate Adult Night
At 7PM, we’ll shift from “family skate” to “adult skate.” What’s the difference?
Mainly the music gets a little more upbeat, but don’t worry—it’s still 100% family-friendly. We only play clean versions of tracks, and we never allow lyrics with violence, misogyny, or homophobia. We won’t kick anyone out but our future adult nights will be 18+ or 21+.
Overkill? Maybe. Worth it? Absolutely.
We’ve got the pro audio system primed and ready—including an 18-inch subwoofer that’s going to shake the rink (in the best way). And let’s talk about lighting:
8 moving heads
30 vibrant PAR lights
4 special effect lights
Eye-friendly lasers
One very subtle haze machine (No fog—we like to see where we’re going!)
The result? A dazzling light show that creates the vibe. Come see what we’ve been working on!
Snacks, Drinks, & More Soft Launch Details
While we won’t have rental skates yet, but we will have our snack bar open with a mix of healthy treats, nostalgic rink favorites, and plenty of canned and bottled beverages to keep you rolling.

Parking is on Fairground Road. Enter through Gate 5—you’ll spot our big white Monterey Skates step van when you walk in. That’s us! You can walk right into the King City building and present your QR code.
Birthday Parties Coming Grand Opening Weekend!
We’re putting the final touches on our active birthday party packages, just in time for our Grand Opening Weekend starting Friday, June 20th. Birthday parties will be available on Saturday and Sunday, and include:

Private Parties & Summer Skating
We’re also developing options for:
Private Parties for schools, businesses, and groups on Mondays and Thursdays
All-Day Summer Skates! Starting late June, we hope to be open Monday–Friday from 10AM to 5PM through the end of July.
